...eh, who am I kidding. Don't roll your eyes at me!
I have not been around blog land for almost a month...a MONTH. We've been busy, and I have this weird thing about safety. You see, back around the time of my last post (Dec 8) we set up plans to go to The Beehive State for Christmas. I was busy planning, etc and I didn't exactly want to announce to all of cyberspace that we would be away from our house for a week (read: vacant urban apartment guarded by a scardy cat...feel free to plunder). I do have things to share, but I am on a bit of a seafood hangover today and my brain is running in slow motion (probably because of the amount of butter I consumed yesterday) and I am struggling to get sentences strung together. Hopefully I'll have better luck tomorrow.

Can your eyeballs beat my eyeballs?
I went here to take a fun quiz. My first time I got 4.91. I tried it gain and got 3.37. How'd you do?

You found WHAT...WHERE??
Our dishwasher has made strange noises since we moved in. We just figured we got a noisy model. Well Nathan had yesterday off and had had enough of the noisy thing so he decided to tear into it and see what was causing the racket. You'll never guess what he found...

Yes folks, that is a nickel...he also found what looks like a broken off tip of a crochet needle...I don't crochet. The nickel actually had burn marks on it you can kinda see one of them in the pic, it is right on the edge right by my finger. When I asked Nathan to see it and I took a pic of it using my BB he said 'Is that going on the blog?' He knows me too well. :)

Pencil Trick
For those who know me you know that I am very superstitious. I don't step on cracks, I don't walk under ladders, if I spill salt I toss some over my shoulder, etc, etc, etc.
On the fourth we hung out at my parent's place and Shanna was talking about the Pencil Trick...it can apparently tell you how many kids you'll have. You thread a sewing needle, then stick it in the center of the eraser on a freshly sharpened pencil. You hold the pencil (by the string in the needle) over a person's wrist. It will circle, then move horizontally, vertically or diagonally. Horizontal= boy, vertical= girl and diagonal=twins.
I was a bit skeptical but we did the test on my mom... it was girl, boy, twin, boy, boy... Then we did my dad, and his said the same thing...so we did everyone else and guess what mine said:
Girl, Girl there was differing opinions on whether they were preceded by a 'twin' marking.
Have any of you tried this?? Has it been accurate?
