Viva Italia!

Yep...took us by surprise.  Afterall we weren't due for a transfer for another 18-24 months...but the Navy wants us in Naples so to Naples we will go!  We don't have an exact date...it depends on when we get finalized with Miles...but it looks like it will be the end of the year.

I wasn't so keen on the idea at first...but I've warmed up to it and I'm actually quite excited.  My OCD brain, however, is on overload.  We have a BUSY five/six months ahead of us!  And the thought of the trans-atlantic flight with a 6 month old and a hyper-sensitive cat...well, that makes my tummy churn.  Ah well...adventures, right?!?  RIGHT??

To get a taste of old Napoli...here's a couple videos for ya.

I'm so jealous! What an adventure! I have a very good friend in the Navy who is currently stationed in Naples and he really likes it.

Very exciting for you. We know a lot of people who have been stationed there. Most have hated it. But knowing that you guys are adventurous, I hope it works out well!

I think that sounds awesome! And if it's not at least they have gelato, right?? That is enough to make it super awesome.

Wow! Fun! Congratulations, you guys will love living overseas and especially while Miles is easily movable. I mean, it's easy to carry a baby around to all the cools sights. Not so fun with toddlers. :) Travel, see the places around you, don't be afraid to get off base and be adventerous and your overseas experience will ROCK! Don't worry about the process. One thing at a time, you can't get ahead of yourself..for one thing, the Navy won't let you. The process is do this before you can do that, so one thing at a time. And my major advice, for one "freakishly organized" person to another...make LISTS!!! A list for everything...it made me so much more happy. Lists with little check off boxes when you accomplish/pack/finish things. Works wonders. :)

Ohhh...slightly jealous. That sounds like a blast. I've never flown over an ocean with a six month old but I've done it from Texas to Ut. Just scope out the grandma and grandpas and they will entertain Miles for as long as you'll let them! ;) Congrats.
