The guy in the picture is from Newport. He was a fisherman, and adam met him while he was doing a project in Oceanography on Narragansette bay. Adam would know more.
I have always loved that picture. I have often wondered where my Dad was at VJ Day, and what he was doing and how he reacted. I know he was back in the states after VE day, but thats it. Kim Hope your party was fun for you guys...
