It better not

The weather here today - and supposedly for the next two days is supposed to be nasty...like 12+ inches of snow nasty...and it had better not be - my Aliums are coming up and it will kill them :(

In other 'news' - hehe, I said that like I am so important...chuckle. Nathan's brother flew in for a couple days and that's always good - but the happier news is that he's coming back this summer and bringing the whole fam! I haven't seen all those nieces and nephews in a while and it will be SO fun to see/hang out with them! :) Its hard because Nathan's got siblings spread all over the world...and some we don't see very often. In fact, we have 1 niece and 2 nephews that we have never seen :(

I have been seriously contemplating buying a sports car...I like them but so far I have seen it as totally unpractical...afterall...you can't put a car seat in a 2-seat convertible...but I think it might be good for me...having a car that won't 'allow' for children can give my mind (and heart) a break from thinking about it all the time. Plus, driving around in a sports car would be a little more motivation to lose some weight - cause I don't want to be the fat girl in the hot car...

The legend lives on...

Remember a while back I mentioned all those stories about tripping...and how my nickname on the Drumline was trip?

This morning I was getting ready...I went into the closet and put one shoe on, reached for the other, and then WHAM...I fell. I smacked my left shoulder blade and back of my head against the wall, my right leg shot out, hitting the legs of my 4' tall jewelry case and it then tipped over onto me hitting the front of my stupid skull, my left leg got smashed up against the little set of stairs I have in the closet to reach the top shelf, and it is scraped and bleeding...

Still not sure how it happened...I think I rolled my ankle...the bummer is that I got new shoes last night...they are super cute but they have a narrow wedge heel...I fear only more accidents are to come... :(

I can HARDLY wait!! :)

I love me some Captain Jack...and Orlando's not too shabby himself ;)

Where is the rewind button?!?

So today, scratch that - the last few days, have been rough...

Saturday we worked in the yard all day - it was great - we got flower beds dug and planted, gravel put down, it is starting to look really good...enter the bad part...I got a horrible sunburn on the backs of my arms and on my neck...AND I got eaten by bugs...all but one I am positive are mosquito bites...they are small red welts with an annoying little itch...but one is a big red-ish purple-ish nasty 1.5" across bite...probably from some mutant spider or something. And it HURTS! eech.

In addition to that, while we're minding our own business in the yard, the Animal Control truck pulls up and the officer comes over and asks us if our dog has been with us all day - they got a report of a disturbance...well Besta had been with us all day in the yard, so we knew where he was the ENTIRE time...Well then she notices that he isn't licensed yet in our city...and almost gives us a ticket - we told her we moved and took the dog from my brother and just hadn't taken the paerwork in yet (because we hadn't gotten it from him yet) So she said we had until Tuesday to have him licensed and she wouldn't ticket us...

So then today we had to take Besta to the vet for the rabies shot - he did pretty good, but he got all excited, peed ALL OVER the floor, then proceeded to tromp through it, then jump on me...grrr...now mind you I am on my lunch break, dressed all nice for work...double grrr...so I had to run home and change before I went back because I smelled like dog urine...

Nathan felt bad I missed all my lunch (because the vet kept us waiting for so long) so he went to Einstein Bagels and got me an AWESOME sandwich...which he brought to my work...but when he left after dropping it off, he backed into some guys truck..which was totally his fault...EXCEPT the guy was parked where there isn't even a stall...dur...well he came out and said it was no big deal...the truck is in bad shape anyway - don't sweat it. It is like an 85 Ford...all rusty and paint chipping, etc...

So Nathan heads back to school and I go back to work, then he (the guy) calls me at work and says he changed his mind, he's going to try and get the truck 'totaled' so he wants us to exchange info...blah, blah...so tonight while I'm making dinner, the phone rings and it is the city police! They heard from his insurance company and need to gather a pit more info...

Man oh man he is making WAY to big a deal out of this...he has a dent on his wheel well, our truck got more damage...Nathan's rear lights were broken out...so I'm not sure what is going to happen...we have a very good insurance agent so we'll see what he can do for us...

All this makes me wish sometimes life had a rewind button...

I want to be famous

Ok, so I want to be famous...not so I can have a 'stylist' or a gynormous house or buy whatever I want...but so that I can swing into a country and adopt a child whenever I should feel the urge...and not have to wait for months or even years like the rest of humanity...grrr..

an unnoticed absence

I was reading CNN today and saw THIS story...and it made me wonder...Could I go unnoticed for 18 months? I know Nathan would notice by absence in less than 24 hours...my family in a few days...

But the way we've been treated by our neighbors and people at church I honestly believe we could go 18 months without being noticed...afterall, we're up to almost 10 now. :(

tricky question...

I hate church...not religion or God...but church...

I have not always hated church...I LOVED it in RI, but things are so different here - and people seem so superficial and fake...I get NOTHING from attending and actually feel worse after than I did before the service...I know a lot of it has to do with all the pregnant women and babies around us, but I think that people here take it all for granted and suck at the whole 'being Christlike' thing...

So the tricky question is: Do you put a smile on your face, suck it up and go because it's what you're "supposed to do" or do you not go at all and become inactive...and can you still have a stalwart testimony of Christ and not attend church??

(Sorry I guess that is three questions)

Dream Interpretations

I have the weirdest dreams...and last night's was no exception...

I was camping, at least I think I was...there were trailers all around and a big cabin...and in the cabin there were stoves all along the walls and I was cooking. In the dream a friend had triplets and she gave me one...a little girl.

Funny thing about my dreams - I never actually have a baby...people will give us one, or we will find one...do you think that is me processing the fact that I might never have a baby of my own, or do you think it is 'telling the future' for me?

I hate dreams where we get a baby and then I wake up and realize it is not real :(

Valentine's Flowers

I know I said I would post pictures of the awesome flowers Nathan got me...I just got them sent...sorry they are a bit fuzzy - they are from my camera phone.

!!!%#@*$&@*#$!!!

So people like THIS can have children...but we can't? Where is the fairness in that?!? I really fail to see how this can all be part of a larger plan...
